Hand lever for spool valves NG6 for explosion-hazard areas

The solenoid operated spool valves can now be equipped with an additional hand lever. The valve can be actuated manually in addition to normal electrical actuation. The hand lever can be used for both switching and proportional valves.

The spool valve in NG6 allows to switch flows of max. 80 l/min with up to 350 bar in an explosion protection zone. For the valve actuation, the proven, certified according to ATEX / IEC Ex, solenoid coil of equipment group I + II is used. The valve can therefore be used in underground mining as well as in surface installations in zones 1+2. The switching valve with the designation WDYFA06_Z568 and the proportional valve WDBFA06_Z568 are available as a 4/3-way execution with the ISO 4401-03 mounting interface. The switching valve is also available in an impulse spool execution in which the switching position is held by mechanical detent. The hand lever can be used for both switching and proportional valves. The spool valve switches flows of max. 80 l/min with pressures up to 350 bar. The switching valve with the designation WDMFA06_Z568 and the proportional valve WDPFA06_Z568 are available as a 4/3-way execution with the ISO 4401-03 mounting interface. The switching valve is also available in an impulse spool execution in which the switching position is held by mechanical detent.

Stainless pressure reducing valve, manually operated

Wandfluh has extended the proven pressure reducing valve with an execution for use in very corrosive environments. It is made of stainless materials and coated with high-quality surface protection and can control volumes up to 80 l/min with up to 350 bar. The pilot operated 3-way valve reduces the input pressure to an adjustable output pressure.

The pressure reducing valve regulates the output pressure largely independently of the input pressure. A rise of the outlet pressure above the set value, e.g. by an active consumer, is prevented by a pressure relief function which diverts the excess pressure to the third connection.

With the pressure ranges 63, 160 and 350 bar, it can be adapted to the respective application requirements. The adjustment of the desired pressure can take place by means of a tool or by various control knobs. With the option "cover", the adjustment can be protected against unauthorized access. The valve is available with the designation MV_PM22_K9.It is mainly used in areas with continually changing weather conditions or in the vicinity of the sea.

Manually actuated poppet valve with switching position holding function

The poppet valve of nominal size 6 can be held in the actuated position with its special hand lever mechanism. The direct operated poppet valve in flange construction is available in 2/2-, 3/2- and 3/4- way execution. By means of the hand lever, the poppet valve spool is opened or closed acting against the spring. Due to the poppet spool construction with pressure compensation on both sides, the flow through the valve is possible in both directions. The seat spool guide is sealed by means of an O-ring. The metallically sealing seat closes the valve practically leakage-free. Poppet valves are used where tight closing functions are essential like leakage-free load holding, clamping or gripping. The valve is available with the designation AG_06.

Proportional spool valve in cartridge construction

The proven proportional spool valve has been supplemented with the option of manual override. This allows the 4/3-way spool valve to be actuated manually in both control directions. With the direct operated proportional spool valve WDPPU10_18, movements on hydraulic axes can be sensitively and precisely controlled. Due to its cartridge construction, the 4/3-way valve is ideally suited for installation in control blocks. The short overall length in connection with a space-saving 4-way UNF cavity enables compact control solutions. The valve can be used for flow rates up to 25 l/min and pressures up to 350 bar. It is characterised by a low hysteresis and excellent symmetry. The valve is available in two nominal sizes under the designations WDPPU08_12 and WDPPU10_18.

The solenoid coils are now supplemented with a diagram showing the application range of the solenoid coil with regard to ambient temperature and maximum duty factor. This allows, for example, to work in an elevated ambient temperature if the solenoid is not permanently energised. Further details can be found in data sheet 1.1-170.

WDMFA06_Z

The solenoid operated spool valve with switching position monitoring has been equipped with improved form fitting of the piston to the measuring system. This results in 2,7 mm more overall length per limit switch. Further details can be found in data sheet 1.2-62.

EXHIBITIONS Wandfluh at Agritechnica 2019

From 10-16 November 2019 Wandfluh will exhibit for the first time at Agritechnica, the world's leading trade fair for agricultural technology in Hanover. Wandfluh has been represented in the field of agricultural technology for years, but has never before presented itself so focused on these topics at an international trade fair. On a joint stand with Wandfluh Germany, Wandfluh AG will present its latest proportional control units, solutions for lifting, lowering and folding functions as well as various control functions for mobile fan systems in hall 17/stand G08. In the field of electronics, the connection of valves via fieldbus interface and operation via displays will be a major topic.

 

 

 

 

Wandfluh China at PTC Asia 2019

From October 23-26, PTC (Power Transmission and Control) Asia 2019 will take place in Shanghai. Since its foundation in 1991, the exhibition space and the contents have been constantly expanded, the specialist public has multiplied and the development of the international and commercial market for drive and control technology has been strongly promoted. The fair not only offers many international brand the opportunity to enter the Chinese and Asian markets, but also provides an excellent platform for global procurement in the Chinese market. One of the main topics in the industry 4.0 age is the integration of IoT-enabled components into existing and new applications. The parameterisation and control of the electronic modules from a central controller is a great advantage. Maintenance intervals and occurring problems can be detected early and appropriate solutions found. The new PD3 amplifier from Wandfluh comes with an IO-Link interface, which enables all these important IoT functions. In addition, these electronic modules will have a Bluetooth interface via which they can be parameterised with a special Wandfluh app. Thanks to intelligent networking, these new features will find their place above all in the areas of energy management, automatic driving and intelligent services for vehicles.

 

 

 

Congratulations to the 6th place at the WorldSkills 2019

On August 27, 2019, in Kazan, Russia, the closing ceremony and ranking announcement of the WorldSkills 2019 professional championships took place. Our employee Thomas Schranz started in the category Polymechanics/Automation and took the excellent 6th place. The competition took place in Kazan from 23-26 August 2019. The task of the participants in the Polymechanics/Automation category was to produce a total of 19 individual parts of a filling system within 22 working hours according to specifications, to mount them into assemblies and to complete the electrical wiring and pneumatic tubing. In addition, the system had to be programmed so that its function could be tested. The working hours were spread over the four competition days and the candidates had to complete the subtasks according to a given schedule. On 29 August the team arrived in Zurich and was duly received at the Welcome Event in the Rüebisbachhalle in Kloten. A group of our employees made their way to Zurich on Thursday to surprise and cheer Thomas at the Welcome Event.
